Engineered from the ground up to provide a solid foundation for your business, Transit Chassis Cab provides an ideal base vehicle that can be converted for a variety of uses, from tippers and ambulances to motorhomes. It gives a bodybuilder a specific platform on which they can mount a special body and ensures that build quality and integrity are maintained in the final vehicle.

|
|
| This helps ensure that the driving quality, safety, security and durability of the modified vehicle will meet the same high standards as a regular production vehicle. With responsive handling through city streets and comfortable long-distance cruising, it’s relaxing to drive. The cabin is spacious, comfortable and well equipped too, with the latest technology to help make working more of a pleasure. Offering the widest possible choice in terms of load lengths, payload and passenger carrying ability – with three wheelbases, three frame lengths, rear- or front-wheel drive, single or double cab style – there’s a Transit to drive your business forward. |

| Bodystyling
The strong contemporary design of the Transit Chassis Cab conveys the ability to deliver, whichever angle you look at it. Head on, the three-bar grille with large Ford oval badge displays its heritage with pride and is flanked by large headlights. But style is nothing without substance. The bold, modern exterior is specially reinforced to offer all-round passive protection. |

| Chassis Cabs - Medium Wheelbase |
The Chassis Cab medium wheelbase (MWB) offers high levels of practicality and versatility. The immensely strong ladder-frame gives you the perfect platform on which to build anything from a box van to a mobile workshop. MWB vehicles are available in rear-wheel or all-wheel drive mode allowing you to further match purpose with performance.
Like all Transits in the range, safety is paramount. Among the standard safety features, drivers benefit from 3-point seat belts, driver’s airbag and ABS with additional electronic sensors that help prevent the rear wheels locking.
High standards of personal safety are mirrored by vehicle security – all Transits come with an approved immobiliser and alarm; remote central double-locking with shielded, strengthened mountings, key-operated bonnet release and a lock-in-latch protection system.
Depending on configuration, gross payload for the MWB is up to 1,499 kg. It accommodates an internal body length of 3.2 m. |

Down to the smallest detail, the LWB is designed to make your life easier.
