Mondeo Exterior

The all new Mondeo is the first of our production cars to fully express Ford’s new 'kinetic design' direction. Kinetic design emphasises the use of complex surfaces and athletic, sculptural forms to create an impression of ‘energy in motion’ – a tense, muscular stance that makes the car look as though it is moving even when it is standing still.

Halogen Adaptive Front Lighting System (AFS)
The distinctive jewel-like headlamps swivel horizontally by up to 15 degrees, as you turn the steering wheel, and cast light on the road just where you need it. Static bending lights provide extra light for sharp cornering and junctions.
Halogen Adaptive Front Lighting System is optional on most models.

Bi-Xenon headlamps
Bi-Xenon High Intensity Discharge (HID) headlamps, which also come with static bending lights, are an alternative option. They project a far longer beam that’s twice the intensity of normal halogen headlamps, providing exceptional visibility of the road ahead – and using only two-thirds of the energy.

Ford Easy Fuel

The all new Mondeo is the first production car to feature Ford’s award-winning Ford Easy Fuel system. The system features a mis-fuelling inhibitor that can tell the difference between the fuel pump nozzle used for petrol and diesel and only accepts the right one for your car. So you’ll never experience diesel being added to a petrol tank or vice versa. And its capless design removes the risk of spilling fuel on your fingers – or worse – your clothes.

Keyless Entry

Walk up to the all new Mondeo and it recognises you’re on the way thanks to smart sensors fitted to the exterior that detects your key fob. Simply pull the door handle to open the door or the handle on the bootlid or tailgate to access the rear of the car. (Optional on most series)

Limousine like comfort and new levels of craftsmanship can be found throughout the all new Mondeo. Soft-touch material is used extensively throughout the cabin to emphasise the quality and refinement of the interior and helps to absorb any squeaks and rattles from items placed in the numerous smaller stowage areas.

Human Machine Interface (HMI)

You’re in total command. A revolutionary powerful, digital command centre, operated by two toggles on the steering wheel, puts intuitive control of navigation, entertainment and information systems at your fingertips.

Luxurious Leather Comfort

Sit back and relax in comfort. Superb interior options, available as standard on selected models, include a leather steering wheel, leather gear shift knob and a soft, comfortable leather handbrake grip.

New Ambient Lighting

Ambient lighting adds a touch of distinction and sets the mood for a more relaxed drive. Whenever the headlights are on, a soft amber glow illuminates the centre console area around the gear stick. And extra lighting in the foot wells make it easy to see what’s underfoot when you get in and out of the car.

Ford Starter Button

With the all new Mondeo, you’ll enjoy innovation from the moment you enter. Step inside and turn on the engine without having to remove the key from your pocket or bag; smart sensors will automatically detect its presence. All you have to do is press the clutch and push the Ford Starter button.

Interior Space

Mondeo’s already generous space is now even more expansive with greater leg room in front and increased shoulder room in the rear. Loadspace is also increased, while a larger glovebox and numerous storage areas mean Mondeo stays free from clutter.

Dual-Zone Electronic Automatic Temperature Control

Set the temperature separately for driver, front passenger and rear passengers, so everyone can feel comfortable, no matter what’s going on outside. Rear passengers gain the extra comfort of adjustable ventilation positioned on the B-pillar.
